Abstract
A literature search of the most recent bibliography ( 1968 Tokyo Conference) leads to an appreciation of the present state of knowledge of measurement, of pressure, temperature, specific volume and the thermodynamic properties of water near to the critical point.
The utlization of the virielle force theorem enables the equation of state to be precisely stated in the critical region.
A comparison is made of the most recent measurements and the formulae utilized for specific heat at constant volume or dynamic viscosity and for the thermal conductivity, in the region close to the critical point.
