Quantum flow pattern of coherent rotational states

    Abstract

    The rotation of a light nucleus is illustrated by the velocity field of a coherent rotational state in Elliott's model. In the rotating system one can see a vortex structure due to non-uniform distribution of V× v. Comparison is made with the results of the cranking model to other authors.
