Abstract

It is shown that, in the case of some halomethanes for which an Arrhenius-type relation can be fitted to the IRMPD probabilities as a function of CO₂-laser pulse energy, the pre-exponential factor is about equal to the ratio of the reaction volume to the total gas volume.
