Abstract

The Belgian taskforce on flue gas desulphurization reports on the state of development of flue gas desulphurization based on literature data and on information obtained by visiting West-European units. A cost price estimate is performed for various head-running FGD processes. A reconnaissance of oil gasification is discussed. The total sulphur release by Belgian power stations is forecasted up to 1985.
