Reporting on Fukushima

    Abstract

A survey of two Belgian newspapers shows that around half of the articles published in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident focused on domestic or international issues. Given the link between mass media and public policy, such coverage could have real effect on a counry's nuclear energy programme.
