N2 - This paper provides an overview of possibilities to apply the technique of retrospective dosimetry based on the reactions 93Nb(n,n')93mNb and 54Fe(n,p)54Mn. In a joint effort between NRG, VTT and SCK-CEN, different techniques for the chemical dissolution, isotope separation and gamma-spectrometry measurements were applied. This work presents the applicability, advantages and disadvantages of the different techniques, and the accuracies that can be achieved for specific amounts of niobium impurities in the samples.
