Abstract

This work examines the capabilities of SCALE to predict the concentration of nuclides in spent reactor fuel via comparisons with destructive radiochemical analyses performed on irradiated samples in ARIANE programme. The main objectives of this report are: compare the results provided by SCALE with radiochemical results obtained by ARIANE programme, discuss the accuracy of the simulated results and draw some conclusions on the specificities of the fuel samples and of the capabilities of the SCALE simulations.
