Abstract

This note reports an extremely simple, reproducible and rapid method for the separation of ^pure berkelium and californium from each other and from americium and/or curium.
An extraction chromatography procedure from di-(2-ethylhexyl) orthophosphoric acid (HDEHP) is described which avoids the use of oxidizing and/or reducing agents and requires only dilute hydrochloric acid for the evolution.
