Abstract

A neutron crystal spectrometer has been used for resonance scattering experiments in order to measure the ratio ⌈_n/⌈ of neutron resonances in the eV region. From these data a value of the resonance spin J is calculated. The following results have been obtained: Hf¹⁷⁷ (1.1 eV) J = 3; Hf¹⁷⁷(2.4eV) J = 4; Tm¹⁶⁹(3.92 eV) J= 1; and Dy¹⁶³(1.71 eV) J=2.
