Abstract

(a) Aluminium-samarium. The aluminium-rich part of the aluminium-samarium system has been investigated by thermal, micrographie and X-ray methods, and by microprobe analysis. Three intermetallic compounds corresponding to SmAl₄, SmAl₃, and SmAl₂ have been found. Their structure and melting and transformation points have been determined. (b) Aluminium-dysprosium In the aluminium-dysprosium system, two intermetallic compounds, DyAl₃ and DyAl₃, have been found. Their structure and melting and transformation points have been determined.
