    Abstract

Established in 1982, the Belgian Support Programme to IAEA is managed by the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK•CEN. The contributions are in-kind, and typically in the form of providing expert advice on different topics or providing access to existing facilities. In this paper, we give first a brief overview of past and current tasks of the Belgian Support Programme to IAEA. We then show how the current tasks fit the IAEA’s Development and Implementation Support Programme for Nuclear Verification 2018-2019 and the Research and Development Plan. We also propose areas where we envisage contributions in the coming years, according to the existing expertise at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK•CEN.
