    Abstract

The objective of the present study is to establish a correlation between the parameters determining the operation on level of the BR2 reactor. The calculation is based on preliminary measurements of neutron flux distribution in a core mockup facility, BR02, and the fuel element specifications.
The limiting condition may be expressed as follows: maximum permissible plate temperature = water saturation temperature + superheat.
The hot channel factor and hot spot factors are defined, and an estimate of the numerical value is given for each of them.
