    Abstract

Lindane immediately inhibits cell growth and morphogenesis. This inhibition is reversible without anomalies in the development. During treatment, the cellular metabolism is lower than normal and no intracellular morphogenesis seems to occur; the cells behave as if they were in a dormant stage.
