Abstract
Using an enriched 47Ti target and a natural titanium target, the neutron capture γ-ray spectrum following the 47Ti(n, γ)48Ti reaction has been studied by straight spectroscopy using Ge(Li) detectors; a level scheme of 48Ti has been established. Valuable information on the neutron capture γ-ray spectrum following the 48Ti(n, γ)49Ti reaction and on the 49Ti level scheme has also been extracted from the experimental data. The neutron binding energies of 48Ti and 49Ti are found to be 11627.6 ± 1.3 keV and 8143.3 ± 1.2 keV, respectively.
