Abstract
The n‐type vacancies occurring in non‐stoichiometric NiAl are found to order after a sutable heat‐treatment. In particular a well defined compound Ni48 □ 16Al64 has been identified and the structure has been determined. It is found to be a defect CsCl structure with the vacancies forming triangular arrangements in the (111) plane.
