    Abstract

Different schemes for the calculation of dry deposition of gases and aerosols have been reviewed and the possibilities for their incorporation into a bi-Gaussian dispersion model have been analyzed. At least for short range calculations the source depletion approach seems to remain an acceptable approximation. The implications for practical impact assessment studies have been evaluated by means of a practical case involving fugitive emissions and chimney emissions of a specific metal.-from Authors
