    Abstract

    The resistence against thermal shock of some potential limiter and first wall materials (Al2O3, B4C, Si3N4. glassy carbon, SiC, pyrolytic graphite and Mo) for fusion devices. The experiments; were done by means of electrons accelerated to 5.5 keV. The results are compared with theoretical considerations. Experimental and calculated results give roughly the same classification, which is in increasing resistance against thermal shock, in accordance with the above listing. In absolute value there is a large difference between the experimental and calculated results.
