Abstract

The α-spectrum from the ¹⁴⁹Sm(n, α)¹⁴⁶Nd reaction with slow neutrons has been measured for three different incident neutron energies. The results confirm that the spin of the 0.0976 eV resonance of ¹⁴⁹Sm is 4 and show the existence of a negative energy resonance with spin 3.
