    Abstract

The Westcott gf-factor, which is important for the physics of thermal reactors, was calculated using our recent accurate neutron induced fission cross-section data for 241Pu. It yielded gf(20·44°C) = 1·046 ± 0·006. The temperature dependence of gf was also calculated in the temperature range 0°-1000°C and compared with previous results.
