Abstract
The goal of this work is to analyse the thermo-hydro-mechanical behaviour of the Boom Clay submitted to a heat source induced by the radioactive waste. Three kinds of waste are taken into account, i.e VHLW, UNE-55 and MOX. The analysis was realised in a stepwise approach. The first step concerned the validation of the finite element code LAGAMINE. To do that, a comparison between the results obtained with the finite element code COMSOL and LAGAMINE was done. The second step dealt with the thermo-hydro-mechanical modelling of an assumed real repository. A set of modelling is then realised with and without the influence of the neighbouring galleries. Finally a comparison between the geological repository predictions and the PRACALY predictions was done in order to highlight the more restrictive conditions applied on this large scale heater experiment.
