Abstract

This report is a collection of thermodynamic calculations related to the reprocessing of nuclear reactor fuels by fluid bed fluoride volatility techniques.
The reaction of both uranium and plutonium compounds with fluorine and interhalogens containing fluorine are considered.
Especially the effect of the nature of the interhalogens or interhalogen mixtures and of the temperature on the equilibrium PuF6 pressure have been evaluated, discussed and illustrated.
