N2 - The potential of an alumina-rich component from a USB flash drive for emergency dosimetry is investigated using thermoluminescence and optically stimulated luminescence. It is shown that a given dose of about 1 Gy can be recovered accurately, but correction for fading is necessary with long delay times in between irradiation and measurement.
