    Abstract

This chapter compiles data on the main thermo-physical properties of molten lead, bismuth and LBE (e.g. density, molar volume, isobaric heat capacity, viscosity, thermal and electrical conductivity, etc.) reported in the open literature. In some cases, significant discrepancies exist among the values given by different sources. Therefore, recommendations based on the “best fit” of data are usually used. Published data on the properties the lead alloys of interest are currently very limited. The main sources are material handbooks published in the 50s and 60s. In the later handbooks most of data were either reproduced without changes or with addition of new results. In recent years several review-reports have been published where previous data were reanalysed.
