    Abstract

Studying underground water movements in the sand of Mol it has been shown that KI131 and K3Co60(CN)6 may be considered as suitable water tracers for short respectively long range tests. Special equipment was designed for the injection radionuclides and for the sampling of active clouds in aquifers. A new device called multicounter, has been designed and built in order to measure in situ the underground water movements at whatever depth required ; flow rate and flow direction of ground-water can thus be determined in a very short time. The developed methods may be applied to the measurements of the migration rate of radionuclides in aquifers and to the determination of the permeability coefficient.
