Abstract

VARMO I is a one-dimensional three-group burnup programme for plane, cylindrical or spherical geometry. It is intended primarily for variable moderation reactors in which reactivity changes are compensated by light-water dilution of a H₂O-D₂O moderator and coolant.
VARMO I may also be used for the calculation of reactors in which reactivity is controlled by burnable poisons, soluble poisons or absorbing rods.
If necessary, the programme can be used for the calculation f resonance integrals and three-group macroscopic cross-sections.
