    Abstract

This chapter briefly summarizes the contents of the whole book. The research survey presents a snap shot of the state-of-the-art of the active on-going research of the current maturity of fuzzy logic. In addition, the editors trace the origin and the evolution of fuzzy logic, in which the vagueness philosophy of William James is highly relevant. Finally, the editors comment, critical review and recommend the strategy for the future growth of this young theory and technology. The most significant part of this book project is to emerge the society of uncertainty. This volume covers all the grounds of the past, present and the future so far as fuzzy logic is concerned.
